The Insurance Charities is our industry Charity which has and continues to support many thousands of individuals in Ireland with vital financial and practical help over the years. It provides either one-off help or longer term support, depending on the reason for the hardship. In the past year, the Insurance Charities has paid out over €1.5m to current and former insurance personnel and their families in Ireland and the UK.

‘Words are difficult to find to express just how your sensational donation has already changed our lives’ is an extract from a thank you letter where our Charity assisted in paying for pioneering surgery for a young Cerebral Palsy sufferer.

In Ireland we raised €97,000 over the past two years and the Insurance Charities has paid out over €325,000 to worthy Irish beneficiaries.

Due to the sensitive nature of the work carried out by the Insurance Charities many people are still unaware of the existence of the charity. Think of a colleague or former colleague whose circumstances would make them a beneficiary of charity support, they may actually be in receipt of support by the Charities or may not even be aware that the Charities exists.  Any of us may need their support at any time in the future and that is why it is so important to lend our support now.

We need the support of all IBA Members to build awareness for the Insurance Charities. The Insurance Charities has created marketing material to leave with member offices to promote the Insurance Charities Awareness Week.
